Not every legend is a myth. As abstract as the ones we know seem to be in those boring textbooks they made us read in school may seem, some legends do really walk among us in flesh and blood. And they are every bit as interesting as Zeus and the rest.

In soccer we have one. Some say two but either way Lionel Messi’s name will always make the list.
A skinny kid from Argentina who bust into the scene in 2005 has managed to break and set records like it’s second nature to him. Needless to say, Barcelona has enjoyed as a result of the Argentine magician’s effect. So much so that a lot of pundits believe for much of Messi’s stay at Camp Nou, they never really needed a coach.

Manager Ernesto Valverdo has now revealed that he has no regrets leaving the Argentine superstar on the bench as he felt that was the best thing to do.
Barca has won all four of their matches without the Talisman Argentine, with a 2-0 win over Inter and the 5-1 demolition of the Real Madrid standout results. “Leo is at the point where he could be available, but we have to wait. It depends on training,” Valverde told a press conference. “There are three or four options, but we do not take risks with Messi. I think it is better if he is there. More than anything because he is one more player and we have more to choose from. Of course, Messi is required to recover.”
The dismissal of the defender will change the game and Girona will manage score to equalize just before the break through Stuani. Things will become even worst for Barcelona when Stuani will add a second goal to give Girona a deserved lead against the ten-man side.
