Barcelona have been involved in some of the biggest transfers in the past few seasons with the arrival of Ousmane Dembele and Philippe Coutinho seeing the club spend over €200 million last season. Antoine Griezmann was one of the signings expected in the summer but in a spectacular TV address the French man decided to renew with Atletico Madrid

Less than a year later news reports from France claims that the former Real Sociedad forward is likely to end up at the Nou Camp in the summer. According to the reports, the 28-year-old has been disappointed with the club’s performances this season and regrets turning down a move to Barcelona last summer.

Griezmann is also unsettled that his teammate Lucas Hernandez has been sold to Bayern Munich as Atletico Madrid had given him assurances that they would build a side capable of challenging for titles. It is understood that Barcelona would be looking to sign the forward in the summer as a long-term replacement for Uruguay forward Luis Suarez.

Suarez has been far from his best this season despite posting good scoring numbers in the league. the 32-year-old steady decline has been visible in the past two seasons and Barcelona are planning for a replacement forward in the summer. Eintracht Frankfurt hotshot Luka Jovic has been linked with a move as well as  Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford.

PSG legend Jerome Rothen recently claimed that the forward would be playing at the Nou Camp next season.  According to Rothen, a reliable source had told him that the 28-year-old World Cup winner would be making a move in the summer.

Griezmann would be an excellent signing for Barcelona as he is world class but a deal would be difficult to pull off for the Catalan outfit.
